March 24, 2021--Today PICA hosted its 20th Annual Regional Economists Meeting. This year's meeting was held virtually via ZOOM meetings. The purpose of the meeting was for the City and its consultants to present preliminary revenue growth projections, and to bring together regional economists, representatives of the City of Philadelphia, and general stakeholders to hold a group discussion on economic growth, those revenue projections, and the local economy. Please click the Meeting Program below to open it; inside you'll find the day's presentations with preliminary revenue projections.
PICA wishes to thank our presenters, Michael Rashid, City of Philadelphia Commerce Director, Jim Diffley and Tom Jackson from IHS Markit (the City's economic consultants) and Marisa Waxman, Budget Director for the City of Philadelphia, as well as our moderator, Dr. Herb Taylor of the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia and Temple University, for their participation in today's Meeting.
